Therapy is an investment in your life, health, relationships, family, and future.
I am in network with Optum and Aetna for individual sessions.
You can also opt to pay out of pocket using your HSA or FSA account. I will provide you with a document called a Superbill, which you can send in to you insurance for possible reimbursement.
Did you know that most insurance has out of network benefits?
This means they will reimburse you for your therapy after you have paid your therapist. This allows you the autonomy to choose your therapist outside of your insurance network. Please ask me about this during your free consultation call. I value making therapy accessible.
Insurance requires a medical diagnosis and medical necessity to cover the cost of therapy. With therapy a medical diagnosis is not always necessary and insurance place restrictions on how many sessions you can attend and for how long. Please note that your confidentiality is not always assured if you choose to use insurance for therapy sessions as insurance companies reserve the right to review notes.
EMDR is a highly specialized approach and are usually booked for a 90 minute session as a longer time is required to prepare, engage in the process and have time to debrief following the intervention. Due to this not fitting into the scope of what insurance companies will reimburse, this treatment is not covered by insurance.
