Thoughts on Anxiety

Do you wonder:

“Why do I feel like this?”

and

“How do I make it stop?”

Anxiety can be debilitating and make you feel as though you are drowning in your thoughts and the physical sensations are often embarrassing and confusing.

Our world has become more competitive, uncertain, and fast-paced, and we can’t keep up!

Because of this our mental health has taken a hit and it has never been more important to pay attention to what your mind and body is telling you.

The good news is that when you learn to notice, armed with the right tools, understanding, skills, and embodied wisdom, you won’t continue to struggle.

You’ll know exactly how to manage your mental health and, in doing so…

Enjoy peace of mind and a deep feeling of calm and safety that comes from knowing you’re exactly where you need to be.

Why is Anxiety such a struggle?

Here are some things to consider:

Modern Lifestyle: Our digitally connected world provides cheap dopamine everywhere, which makes it challenging to find moments of relaxation and calm,

Over Stimulation: The constant influx of news, social media updates, and conflicting information leads to sensory overwhelm,

Uncertainty: Modern life is filled with uncertainty, from career instability to global events, leading to a sense of helplessness and unpredictability,

Social Pressure: Social comparison fueled by social media can lead to feelings of inadequacy,

Lack of Coping Skills: Most struggling lack effective coping mechanisms and the necessary skills required to manage stress and anxiety,

Isolation: Despite big tech claiming we’re more connected than ever, loneliness is- ironically -  more prevalent than ever, and

Unresolved Trauma: Often stemming from childhood, trauma is not being addressed effectively, with awareness through social media only aggravating the symptoms.

Unfortunately, many people are looking in the wrong place for a solution.

TikTok, Instagram and Facebook are not where you should be looking for answers.  This simply creates more indecision, overwhelm, anxiety, stress, & self-doubt.

Maybe you’re weighed down by indecision, reluctant to really try and do what’s required to release your anxiety due to an overwhelming fear that if you try, and fail, you’ll struggle to cope or lose that last bit of hope?

Maybe you feel guilty at the thought of getting a little assistance because you’ve branded your anxiety as “not that bad”.

Deep down, you know you need restoration with your values and to connect with your authentic self.

If this is something you want to tackle effectively once and for all (so you can get on with living your best authentic life), then you have come to the right place.

I have studied the latest neuroscience and cognitive approaches and where they meet the nervous system.

Many trauma experts around the world now agree that trauma affects the mind, body, and spirit and that recovery requires a holistic approach that addresses each of these.

Working in this way addresses the underlying traumas that are causing you to be disconnected from your authentic self.

My aim is to provide you with a safe space to explore and resolve your trauma so that you can manage your anxiety.  This approach is not “talk therapy” but much deeper so you need to be willing to work in a way that previous therapists have not done. Are you willing to take the leap?
